Villages are the soul of our country and possess beautiful and peaceful environments. More than 65% population live in the villages where the spiritual and Vedic cultures are practiced.
But in the last 200 years, there has been a constant decline at all levels, for example, education, occupation, ecosystem, happiness, culture and so on due to Western culture or modernization. Entertainment devices such as TV, internet, and smartphones, and false promotion of economic growth have degraded the values and culture of Villages.
People are leaving villages just to get good facilities and better jobs, There have been thousands of villages which have been lost in the last 20 years. Therefore, ISKCON Ghaziabad has launched this campaign “Gaon Bachao, Desh Bachao, Sanskriti Bachao (Save Villages, Save Country, Save Culture)”. The purpose of this campaign is to protect and promote the eternal, natural, eco-friendly, sustainable, Spiritual, and Vedic Culture of ancient India. This ISKCON initiative is helping villages to protect human values, sentiments, emotions, eco-friendly system and Vedic culture and saving these villages from a perversion of animalistic tendencies of crime, quarrel, violence, rap, terrorism, and making the whole country peaceful and happy

Lord’s Krishna glorification is performed through grand deity worship, video shows, dramas, building temples, reading spiritual books, harinaam sankirtan by Iskcon village preaching. All activity is done in a very festive and blissful atmosphere and in such an attractive way so that people of villages may revive their lost spiritual bliss which they were enjoying in the festivals in the pastimes.
When people revive their lost higher taste of spiritual bliss through this village preaching, they become happy and will not be attracted by the city’s glitter and glamours. The basic requirement will be fulfilled. If it is done on a mass scale, then the whole country and eventually, the whole world will be happy.
ISKCON at its core is an institution that promotes pure devotional service towards Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
